Episode 13: WHere have all the merry romans gone

As the quintessential English-major punk band Harvey Danger once said in their classic song "Radio Silence," "There's always more information than you asked for." In this vein I present to you, in all its glory, today's episode, all one hour and twenty odd minutes of it. I do promise to try to keep them a bit shorter in future, but this stuff all really needed to go together. I tried to cut it down, really I did, which is partly why it took so long to publish. This episode went through more rewrites than Louis the Pious' will. Still! I find the topic fascinating and I put so much in here because it is so poorly covered. 

There are also a few bits of housekeeping in here that maybe I should underline here. We have a donation button now! I put it in the store. There may be actual merch in the store someday, but in the interim you can buy yourself eternal glory and a spiffy regnal name in return for a modest donation. In return for any amount of cash moneys you can pick a fun name for yourself and I will read it on air. If you do not, I will pick one for you, unless you specifically ask me not to, because I just really love regnal names you guys.
